Maestro Arly Lariviere working on Solo Album

Nu Look is one of Haiti's most influential and popular Konpa bands to date. But due to the growing conflicts among its members, chances of the band ever playing music again is highly improbable as of the moment. They have been cancelling their gigs and appearances both inside and outside Haiti for the past months.

After the argument between Nu Look's Pipo and Maestro Arly Lariviere during one of their gigs, the two are rumoured to not be in speaking terms with each other. And both are planning on releasing a solo album amidst the controversial conflict within the band.

Vocalist Maestro ArlyLariviere is known in Haiti and the world of music for his slow, soothing, melodic voice. One of his previous solo albums, Encyclopedie, was a bestseller for the songs' "You and I", "Is It Real?", "Cookie", "Loving You", and "La Meme Follie". Being out of Nu Look for the past months, Lariviere has been solo performing in different cafes and concerts, usually in North Miami's Moca Cafe and Lounge for Jazzy Sundays with famous Haitian jazz singer-songwriter BeethovaObas and with popular Haitian solo artist Bélo. Aside from performing Nu Look's best hits, Lariviere made it a point to make his audience experience a new set of sounds and lyrics from him, establishing his new identity as a solo performer.

The Moca Café and Lounge is a usual spot to witness Haitian Konpa musicians and listen to the catchiest Haitian sounds and tunes. It is Haitian-themed and is currently partly owned by Rodney Noel.
