Arly Lariviere is the maestro of the Haitian Kompa band Nu-look in Miami. The Nu Look Kompa band was created about 13 years ago when Arly Lariviere and Gazzman Couleur left Dzine to form Nu-Look Band. Arly Lariviere Going Solo with Nu-Look

Arly Larivière has made a decision to gain himself new fans and a higher profile in the music industry.

He is going solo with his newly re-formed band Nu-Look. Arly wants to re-arrange the band's signature song "Compás Love" and feels only he has the vision to do it.

He knows the stakes are high to re-create the magic of "Compás Love" when Nu-Look was first on the music scene, but he says "It's a risk worth taking."

Gazman Pierre (Couleur) of Disip honored by Miami County Commissioner Jean Monestime

Gazman Pierre, also known as Gasman Pierre, was a Haitian artist. He was born on 22nd August in Gonaives. Interestingly, Gazman loved football and had a vision of being a football player but his dream changed when he got a knee injury. This made him to turn to music which was his second vision.

His family moved to United State in 1980. Despite his mother being against music as a career, Gazman began singing as a solo singer. In 1992 he joined a group known as Yeah Bah and launched an album by the name of An nou fe'l a de". He then joined Zenglen Plus and changed its name to D'Zine. D'Zine recorded many songs like Haiti, Lavi en exile and Deal With It. D'Zine had some conflict and Gazman Pierre decided to leave.

Maestro Arly Lariviere working on Solo Album

Nu Look is one of Haiti's most influential and popular Konpa bands to date. But due to the growing conflicts among its members, chances of the band ever playing music again is highly improbable as of the moment. They have been cancelling their gigs and appearances both inside and outside Haiti for the past months.

After the argument between Nu Look's Pipo and Maestro Arly Lariviere during one of their gigs, the two are rumoured to not be in speaking terms with each other. And both are planning on releasing a solo album amidst the controversial conflict within the band.

Ralph Conde Caribbean's Most Versatile Musical Collaborator

Ralph Condé, a Haitian-American musician, was born in New York in 1969. He is a self-taught guitarist, who began playing at seven years of age. He broke into the music scene at age 16, and soon became a success playing and singing in the group Papash, who topped the charts with several smash albums.

As a singer-songwriter- arranger and head of his own record company, Condé has played with many Haitian and Caribbean musicians, with his gypsy lifestyle sending him to perform for audiences, in concert venues, over all Latin America, Africa, and Europe.
