Arly Lariviere is the maestro of the Haitian Kompa band Nu-look in Miami. The Nu Look Kompa band was created about 13 years ago when Arly Lariviere and Gazzman Couleur left Dzine to form Nu-Look Band. During their 13 years of existence, Nu-Look has taken place in the hearts of Kompa lovers with the production of 9 live albums and 6 studio albums of "live Kompa or "Kompa Direk" under the leadership of Arly Lariviere.

Arly Lariviere Apologizes to Fans, Again

Arly Lariviere, attempting to explain his behavior at a recent show he gave in Cap-Haitien, claims video footage of him losing his temper on stage didn't tell the whole story. The video shows Arly turning around repeatedly to look at someone offstage, eventually losing his temper, slamming a microphone to the ground. Arly admits he should not have lost his temper, but hastens to explain the events, which led up to his melt-down.

According to him, it was raining that evening and his groups' instruments were malfunctioning. The equipment was shutting down intermittently. The crowd grew restive and numbers of them began ascending to the stage, pulling the plugs on basses and guitars. At one point, the show was stopped for 45 minutes. His frustrations eventually got the better of him and he exploded, hurling the microphone to the floor. The video did not show the shenanigans of audience members, as it was focused on the star performer, Arly.

Arly Lariviere Going Solo with Nu-Look

Arly Larivière has made a decision to gain himself new fans and a higher profile in the music industry.

He is going solo with his newly re-formed band Nu-Look. Arly wants to re-arrange the band's signature song "Compás Love" and feels only he has the vision to do it.

He knows the stakes are high to re-create the magic of "Compás Love" when Nu-Look was first on the music scene, but he says "It's a risk worth taking."

Anderson Cameau, to be honored by County Commissioner Jean Monestime

Anderson Cameau is an American-Haitian musician. He discovered his talent at the age 12 years after finishing secondary classes at Lycee Petion. He joined a group named Angelic Symphony which was part of National Orchestra of Haiti. His passion for music developed day by day, making him to be among eight musicians who were recognized for advancing and promoting Haitian art and culture. Anderson Cameau was honored on 11th June 2012 by Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jean Monestime. Being recognized as an American -Haitian musician will privilege him to attend Recreation and cultural affair committee meeting.

Gazman Pierre (Couleur) of Disip honored by Miami County Commissioner Jean Monestime

Gazman Pierre, also known as Gasman Pierre, was a Haitian artist. He was born on 22nd August in Gonaives. Interestingly, Gazman loved football and had a vision of being a football player but his dream changed when he got a knee injury. This made him to turn to music which was his second vision.

His family moved to United State in 1980. Despite his mother being against music as a career, Gazman began singing as a solo singer. In 1992 he joined a group known as Yeah Bah and launched an album by the name of An nou fe'l a de". He then joined Zenglen Plus and changed its name to D'Zine. D'Zine recorded many songs like Haiti, Lavi en exile and Deal With It. D'Zine had some conflict and Gazman Pierre decided to leave.

Maestro Arly Lariviere working on Solo Album

Nu Look is one of Haiti's most influential and popular Konpa bands to date. But due to the growing conflicts among its members, chances of the band ever playing music again is highly improbable as of the moment. They have been cancelling their gigs and appearances both inside and outside Haiti for the past months.

After the argument between Nu Look's Pipo and Maestro Arly Lariviere during one of their gigs, the two are rumoured to not be in speaking terms with each other. And both are planning on releasing a solo album amidst the controversial conflict within the band.

The rumors about Pipo have been confirmed and we all saw it coming. Pipo has officially given his resignation letter to Nu-Look Maestro Arly Lariviere

I guess the statement "Piyay Pou Pipo" no longer stands.

This resignation letter actually put an end to many rumors that have been circulating recently in the media about the current relationship between Pipo and Nu-Look. before resigning the band, the lead singer of Nu-Look said that he heard several scenarios in the media such as him leaving Nu look, him recruiting members to form his own band even him getting back with Beljazz.
