Suzanna Lubrano, Accomplished Zouk Singer

Born on November 10, 1975, Suzanna Lubrano is an accomplished Zouk Singer. She is based in Rotterdam and several of her albums have reached the success of gold and platinum and throughout her music career, Suzanna has won various international awards for music. Suzanna moved to Rotterdam, Netherlands along with her family at the age of 4. She picked up singing at a very early age but she picked it up as a profession when she was 18.

As a professional singer Suzanna Lubrano debuted in Rabelados - a Cape Verdean band. While she was at the peak of her initial career with Rabelados, she also started her solo singing and recorded 3 CDs which were Sem bó nes mund, Fofó and Tudo pa bo. The Fofó included the megahit song Ohi Li Oh La.

Through her career, Suzanna Lubrano has worked with several well-known figures like Jorge do Rosario, Beto Dias, Dabs Lopes, Ronald Rubinel etc. Suzanna has won several music awards. The most notable being the Kora All African Music Award in December 2003. She won the award for Best African Female and Best West African Female. The award event was watched worldwide by 600 million TV viewers.

Suzanna is the only and the first Cape Verdean singer to have won this award. She is also the first and the only singer based in Netherlands to have own this award. Suzanna Lubrano has also won the Cabo Music Award for best duo and best singer. In 2010, she won Museke Online African Music Award. In March 2011, Suzanna became the most awarded solo female artist at first Cabo Verde Music Awards where she won two awards for her fifth solo album Festa Mascarado.
