Haitian pianist, producer, and entrepreneur Fabrice Rouzier

The music business is a matter of who is in and who is out. That is why being a musician is said to be one of the most unstable careers as there have been thousands of artists that have been pushed into the unknown. Fabrice Rouzier began his love and talent for music at the very young age of four with the help of his aunt Marguerite Borno, who taught him how to play the piano. During his teenage years, he was already playing with legendary Haitian musicians and music producers. After two years, he created the band Mizik Mizik.

In his thirty years in the Haitian music industry, Rouzier has been able to record and collaborate on more than three hundred music albums. The gifted pianist is also one of the pioneers of the new generation of Kompa and is the man behind the successful careers of several popular Haitian musicians like Michel Martelly a.k.a. Sweet Micky, who is now Haiti's president.

Away from the piano, Fabrice Rouzier is a successful music producer and entrepreneur, being one of the owners of the Haitian record label Soleil Sound. He has produced the albums of famous and upcoming musical artists in the country. Back in 2006, Rouzier stood as the musical director of a concert for peace in Port-au-Prince that was organized by the Organization of American States (OSA). He is also the marketing manager of Sun Auto which exclusively distributes General Motors, Honda, and Hyundai cars in Haiti.
