Introduction and History of the Boukman Eksperyans

Boukman eksperyans is one of the famous mizik rasin bands that is present in the city of port au prince, Haiti. This famous band derives its unique name from the Duty Bouksman. He was a priest in Haiti. He led a religious ceremony that was considered to be the introduction of the band.

This band was introduced in1978 and the owner of the band was beau burn and his sister. They were already the members of different groups of the bands so that they launched a new band in the same area.

The band Boukman eksperyanswas was considered to be the successful band of that time. It was first became famous after presenting the famous song named as Ke'm Pa Sote. It was about Carnival celebration day in Port au prince. This song include the refrained as my heart does not leap, I am not afraid". This song was launched against the living conditions of the post Duvalier interim military.

This protest was against the death of the small girl that was shot by the gun of a soldier. This famous band continuously sang the religious songs. It wrote and performed many songs that depict their religious.
