Haitian Kompa music has a set of dapper, young ambassadors who take their eight-piece act to the international music scene under the name Karizma. Hailing from New York, this modern Kompa band had their first release when they took on the Guy Brice written "Ave'l M'Relax". Citing their musical influences as everything from Kompa to gospel, R&B and hip hop, the Long Island group represents their own distinctive Kompa beat, their uniqueness evident from their first album, Day One - Nal Pou Yon.
