Jimmy Devarieux, A Very Talented Song Writer

Among the best songwriters based in Guadeloupe, Jimmy Devarieux is already well known for his talent and skill in songwriting. In 1996, he joined "Kwebee" a certain group in Guadeloupe after studying singing jazz and more at Centre for Information and Activities Musicales de Bordeaux.

With the group, he finally releases "Magic Dream", "Annie" and also "Bye Bye baby" which were his singles. As a member of the group, he also got the chance to participate briefly in "Antilles on the Seine" a film by Pascal LEGITIMUS.

Jimmy Devarieux developed capela, a music concept whereby standards are not only accepted locally but also pushed as far as internationally with the main instrument's voice. The Kwebee group was the pioneer in Malavoi, Kassav', Vocal sampling and others. They also got to participate in Jean-Jacques Goldman's' five different concerts.

This man is not only talented in songwriting, but also in using his voice. So far, Jimmy Devarieux uses his voice for different purposes, like for instance he is a vocalist. He has used this along with different artists like Jomimi, Gilles Floro, Orlane, Patrick St-Eloi, Dominique Coco, Christiane Valejo and also Admiral T. He and Christiane valejo have worked together on a duet with a title "is writing".

This man loves to put his talents to good use. Jimmy Devarieux has been given different chances to lead a number of artists during recording. Another proof that he enjoys using his talents is shown by his readiness to teach students in various schools the art of singing. He tries his best to help the young students develop skills in singing so that they grow up to be well respected musicians.
