Tanya Saint Val and her beautiful music Videos
Born in 1966, Tanya Saint-Val grew up in the music world. When Tanya Saint-Val was still only a little girl, she was already imitating her grandmother singing operetta. Aged nine, she sang on an album of traditional music with her father, a guitarist, singer and professional composer.
After a spell with the Vikings de Guadeloupe, she joined the Daniel Forestal orchestra, where she met Dominique Zorobabel, a future singer with Zouk Machine. At the same time, she continued singing Ella Fitzgerald songs at local dances in Guadeloupe. She then met Pierre-Edouard Decimus, manager of the group Kassav, who introduced her to the French Caribbean recording studios, where she soon got regular work as a backing singer.
The music of Jocelyne Labylle
Jocelyne Labylle was born in Saint-Claude. Her mother was a karabina dancer. In 1992, she joined the group Elodie; in 1994, she joined Zouk Orchestra. After appearing in three of their albums, Labylle decided to become a solo act. She teamed up with Federick Caracas, Harry Diboula, Jacob Desvarieux and Liso to record the single "Quand tu veux". In 2000, she returned to the studio to record her second album. The single "J'ai depose les clefs" ("I left my keys") was released. Months later, the album Ma Petite Lumiere ("My little light") was released, and she performed in Africa, the West Indies and France.
