The beautiful Haitian Singer Misty Jean

The beautiful Caribbean island nation of Haiti is gifted with very talented musical artists that have been gaining international fame for the past decades. These great musicians have since been inspiring more and more upcoming artists, the youth, and Haitians in spreading the sound of Haitian music.

Misty Jean is by far one of the most popular Haitian musical artists of her generation. She sings in Haitian Creole, French, and even in English and is also an international model and fashion icon.

The captivating songstress was born and raised in Haiti. At the age of three, she entered Lynn W. Rouzier's dance institute where she learned how to dance. And since she was seven, she joined several amateur singing contests. As she grew up, her passion and musical talent developed. While attending college, she was the choir soloist and turned to a local celebrity. She then appeared and performed with different renowned Haitian musicians.

Misty Jean went on to building her modeling career when she was chosen by HAITEL, the country's leading cellular phone company, as it major campaign's key model. In 2001, the young and beautiful singer represented her country in the Miss West Indies pageant. She won the crown, defeating twenty-one other candidates.

In 2004, Jean released her successful debut album which included the hit songs' "Patizan" and "Ce Ou". In the same year, she was also able to perform alongside famous American singer Lil Kim in the United States. Misty Jean has since been performing in different countries and has been awarded twice as Haiti's "Female Singer of the Year".
