President Michel "Sweet Micky" Martelly performs with Julio Iglesias

This is the Video Presentation of the gala in the dominican Republic where Haitian President Michel "Sweet Micky" Martelly was the guest singer at a performance by Julio Iglesias.

This took place on December 28, 2012. Sweet Micky had a chance return to the stage, leaving the presidency on the side. He returned on stage for a good cause.The proceeds for this concert in the Dominican Republic is expected to go to Michel and Sophia Martelly's Rose et Blanc Foundation.

Anna Pierre, Haitian Singer

Health care is one of Haiti's biggest problems as most Haitian are not able to afford proper health services and medications they need. That is why Haitian entertainer and health expert has made it a lifetime mission to provide proper health care services to her fellowmen and American.

Pierre was born and grew up in the city of Cap-Haitien in Haiti but migrated to Florida where she has been permanently residing ever since. She then studied at the Miami Dade Community College and became a registered nurse in 1987. While working at the Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, she was exposed to the health problems brought about by the lack of proper health education of many patients. Pierre then acquired her Master's Degree in Public at Florida International University where she was inspired in helping out communities in avoiding diseases.

Arly Lariviere has recorded many songs most of which have had him in the many top lists that are all over the entire world. Arly Lariviere currently resides in the US though he was born and raised in Haiti where he also grew up to learn and develop an interest in music. Haitian Music band Brothers Posse

One of the most famous groups in the Haitian history is definitely the Brothers Posse. This is a musical band that was established in 1994 by a couple of artists who were already established as solo artists when they met. They however formed a group and with their different styles of singing and the different tastes and preferences of music they had they formed a great musical group that rocked the entire world.

With the formation of the group Brothers Posse, they were able to easily incorporate various types of songs and singing styles to come up with something totally new and different and that gave more fans all over the world than initially. They became very famous and had invitations to perform in over a dozen places on the same day. On the December of 2002 they were invited to over 32 gigs in just less than one month and with time they were just famous all over the country.

Brothers posse an awesome band in Haiti

Today 'Brothers Posse' is the most popular band of Haitian pop music. This band is popular due to their ranging from roots to rock and reggae with the help of their musical equipments. It has created its popularity to all classes of people in Haiti. This band 'Brother Posse' was established in July 1994 by the four members of this band who are friends from a long time before. In this band all members are identical in their own way. For this reason they can easily create any types of songs rape, rock, reggae etc.

Media library, Kay Mizik La in Haiti

In efforts conserve Haiti's precious music, the Foundation Haiti Jazz launched a media library called the "Kay Mizik La" or the "House of Music" at Port-au-Prince in the end of July. It was completed with the help of Haiti Music and Caracoli. The library aims to archive all Haitian musical works. The project was made possible with the funding of the European Union of more than $100,000 for nine months. The EU's goal is to strengthen Haiti's music industry because of its potential for both the country's economic and social development.

Long-time friend of Michel Martelly, guitarist Alex Tropnaz

Michel Martelly is the most powerful man in Haiti. But before he became president, Martelly was a former musician under the name "Sweet Micky" and was very popular and good at it. His music career spans for about twenty decades where he was able to release more than ten Kompa music albums. Martelly was a vocalist, a drummer, and a keyboardist and also used to own a club before being active in politics and eventually becoming Haiti's head of state

Ralph Conde

Ralph Conde was born in 1969 in New York. He is a musician, a vocalist, a composer and recording studio owner. He discovered his passion for music at the age of 7 years when he got his first guitar. He perfected his passion and at the age of 16 he appeared on the music scene.

He performed with a group by the name Papash in the mid 80's. They had so many albums but their best selling albums were Gade Yo, Feeling Papash and Yon Ti Foli. In 1994 Papash changed into Vag with some of the former members. He composed many songs and used them in collaborations with many artists, both from Haiti and Caribbean. He has performed all over the world with the group Tabou Combo which he joined in 1996. He also joined Nu look in 2004.
