Vwadezil is always one of the bands whose carnival most people look forward to listening to. Its lead singer is Fresh La. Their songs are known as "meringues," add a political dimension to the three-day carnival celebrations. Songs lampooning politicians have always been a fixture of Haiti's carnival. Vwadezil's well crafted musical text, metaphor and rhythmic madness always stimulate emotional spirits. In 2007, when MINUSTAH made Haiti a comfortable venue where MINUSTAH member countries could practice warfare, without risk on a disgruntled population, the group Vwadezil composed the song, "MINUSTAH, you're really just a tourista. You're holding back my country,"..... "You're just lounging around so why don't you get ... out."
