In the current political climate of the country, there are some who might have thought the government would forgot about staging the annual carnival celebrations this year. Perhaps not a foolish thought, the idea stems from the fact that the administration is facing rising protestation from the opposition, some of whom have been participating in strikes to push for the resignation of the president. Still, as the saying goes, the show must go on, and the plans for the carnival season have indeed gone on.
