When Oliver was asked about his sources of inspiration, he named some people whom he appreciates and admires very much such as Marc Anthony, Celine Dion, Chris Brown, Alan Cave and Francis Cabrel. If he was not a musician, perhaps he would have pursued a career in management as a start because he has a Bachelor's degree in Management. The best advice he was ever given is--"always be yourself". And he is pretty stuck to that principle.

The first song that he ever sung was probably Craig David's "I'm walking away". Finally, he decided to go back to T-Vice because, business wise it was convenient, he can do both solo and Compas. He missed the camaraderie, the desired chemistry on the stage during his time off from T-Vice.
