The Haitian Jazz group Mozayik was founded in New York City in 2000, with the objective to exploring their Afro-Haitian roots in jazz music.

Their songs draw upon a rich legacy of traditional Afro-Haitian rhythms and melodies,

Mozayik released their first album in 2000.
The musical group represented the country internationally. Mozayik was invited in 2000 to represent Haiti in the Havana Jazz Festival,at the invitation of world-renowned Cuban pianist Chucho Valdes. In addition, the group has played in Haitian jazz festivals in New York City, SOB'S, at the Carnival Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, Port-au-Prince.
