Manno (Emmanuel) Charlemagne with his humble but magnetic energy has been entertaining the crowds of "Tip Tap" Haitian restaurant on South Beach for a long time. Charlemagne was the mayor of Port-au-Prince between 1991 and 1999. He is a longtime political activist, songwriter, political folk singer and acoustic guitarist. Listening his album "Marco - veye yo", is a pleasure; his mesmerizing voice will immediately make a bond. His songs remained the vocal conscience of Haiti for over 30 years; it only speaks the truth for the interest and benefit of Haiti. During his younger age, when he was 21 year old, he even dared to sing against the rule of President Francois "Papa Doc" Duvalier.
