Jamecy Alex Pierre, or Black Alex was the king of Haitian Rap and Ragga, an icon and member of the popular 90s Haitian rap group 'King Posse'. He passed away on November 13, 2015 at the age of 39 after a prolonged illness of tuberculosis. After his death, it was announced that one posthumous album of Alex will be released shortly and all of its proceeds will be accumulated for the benefit of his daughter Alexandra, till she reaches 18. Recently, on January 12, 2016, a new album has been released titled "Black Alexandra Feat Black Alex" where Black Alex's minor daughter Alexandra Pierre has performed in the footsteps of her father. On December 1st, 2015, she also sang a happy birthday song for Smith Georges (the producer of her father).
