The works of Antoine Rossini Jean-Baptiste were innovative with deep respect to Haitian culture and it pushed boundaries of all accepted norms particularly in the cultural realm. His songs speak about the condition of Haitian social life, discrimination and harassment. Before migrating to Boston in the early 1970s, he was a member of a small band named " Diables du rythme de Saint-Marc, Les Jouvenceau, and Astro". In Boston, he was a part of Massachusetts' most successful Haitian band 'Volovo De Boston'.
