The general setup of a Haitian Carnival parade, which can begin at around 4:00 in the afternoon and last until the next day, is to have as many as two dozen bands performing on floats, with women in traditional carnival and Haitian cultural getups dancing in the expectedly sultry fashion. Behind each band will follow the regular carnival goers, which can include, if they are brave enough, regular men and women who simply wish to join in the fun. Everyone, expectedly, enjoys the togetherness, the liveliness and the sexuality (the last of which the children in tow are hopefully blind).
