Koudjay - kanaval 2015 - Nèg Natif Natal

The first carnival celebration each year always alternates venues between Haiti's ten major cities. This celebration takes place the week prior to Lent in February. The next celebration takes place during the 40 days of Lent, and is thought to be a make-up for Port-au-Prince which used to profit solely from the funds generated during the period when it was the only venue.
